Large Mid-century Nepal Manjushri Bodhisattva statue // Buddhism statue

A large buddhism statue of the Manjushri Bodhisattva, lord of wisdom. In his right hand he is holding a sword which is used to cut through ignorance (according to Buddhism). The Manjushri Bodhisattva is one of the oldest and most important Bodhisattvas in Buddhism. The statue is made in Nepal and dates from the middle of the 20th century.
