An antique porcelain ginger jar decorated with lucky symbols and floral motifs (double happiness). This type of jars was originally made as a wedding present to wish the married couple good luck and fortune. The ginger jar is made in China and dates from the end of the 19th century (Qing Dynasty).

Height: 21,5cm
Height without lid: 19,5cm
Diameter mouth: 8,5cm
Diameter bottom: 17,2cm

Condition:
The ginger jar is in a very good condition. The lid has got fritting to the rim (see pictures) and a small star-shaped crack on the inside of the lid (baking crack which was created during the baking process, see second-last picture). No other damages or restorations found (UV checked).
