Large antique Chinese double happiness ginger jar // Qing Dynasty - 19th century

A large antique porcelain ginger jar decorated with lucky symbols surrounded with floral patterns. The blue and white ginger jar is made in China and dates from the end of the 19th century (Qing Dynasty). This type of decoration was originally used at wedding gifts to wish good luck and fortune to the freshly married couple (double happiness decor).

Condition:
The ginger jar is in an excellent condition, but unfortunately there is a chip to the lid (see detailed picture). No other damages or restorations found (UV checked).
